Default Connecting Rod Side Clearance Issues

So i'm rebuilding my bottom end, and i'm at the point of putting the pistons and rods in. I have Cylinder 1 and 2 done and while im measuring the side clearance i run into a few issues.

I can physically slide the rods away from each other after being torqued down (15 lbs-ft + 60 degrees) and i can slide in a .022mm feeler gauge.

But then when i rotate the crank a couple times the rods pull together and the side clearance becomes 0...

how do i keep it around .018 - .022 mm???

after you rotate the motor, you can pull them back apart yes?? If so, all is good...when the motor is running the oil pressure will keep them apart...

what you are running into is normal. no worries, just make connecting rod chamfer goes the right way on the crank. you should have it right, by the way your clearances are coming out, but i thought i would throw that out there for you, just to remind you.
