Default yella terra preload question

What are you guys running. How many turns. I am sitting at a full turn + a 1/4. With a shim, I'm at 1/4. I went ahead and installed the shims. As soon as I get my headers back, I will start it up. If it is louder, I will take the shims out.

Just want your opinions on how much preload is too much or not enough.

when I set mine, I tightened the rocker arms down till I couldn't move the push rods any more, then it only took 3/4 turn to torque it to spec so I didn't need to use the shims

I don't think you need a preload on hydralic lifters... unless you're running an aftermarket and even then I don'tthink it's crucial... torque to spec andif need be use the washer...
