Default how much more does iron block weight

exactly how much more does a iron 6.0 block weigh than the stock ls1?

About 80lbs. give or take 2.

Ive always read 65 lbs diff. I think the benefit far outweighs the weight gain. We just put a 6.0 in my brothers S-10 and it didnt even squat the coilovers down from where they were with the iron block 2.2l just my $.02

If your concern is added weight, you can do a few things if you haven't already. Swap out K-member for a tubular K-member, and engine brackets. 40lbs weight reduction. Switch your flywheel to an aluminum or billet FW. Save 10 ~ 20 lbs there. Also, if still wanting more weight off, go for the front control arms and switch them to tubular ones.

Bottom line is, 70lbs is not a lot of weight to take off the car if you need to.
