600 horsepower stroker
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has the link to an article about a guy that built a 383 LS1 and pulled 600 hp N/A out of it. It was printed in Engine Masters magazine I think, and I have seen him post on this site before. I've been searching all day and haven't found anything.

610 FWHP actually and 523 Ft/lbs....
Here is everything you ever wanted to know about that build and extensive testing I did at the time....

Here is some additional information from the first of many chassis dyno sessions (RWHP numbers)...

And a quick video on the street minutes after leaving that same chassis dyno session....LOL

BTW, this same engine which has been running flawlessly in my C5 for two years is officially for sale. It has trapped 129-130 in decent air (1000-1400 feet above sea level) in a 3400 lb car and still knocks down 23-24 MPG on the freeway. While its a little aggressive for a daily driver for some, others would be very comfy with it.
I will be freshening it (new rings and bearings) just to be thorough and selling it shortly thereafter. I could even swap out the solid roller stuff for a milder hydraulic if someone prefers. If anyone has an interest PM me and we can go from there. This engine would be expensive and time consuming to duplicate so be realistic if your going to bother inquiring. The nice thing is it will be completey fresh and is a proven rock solid combination.
Im building a BIG engine now (447 CID) that I will be featuring our soon to be released 235 cc cathedral port design. Hoping to clear 600 RWHP with the new combo in very streetable trim like most of the combinations I like to drive and build.
Thanks guys...
Tony

how soon is "soon to be released"?
i'm looking to pull the trigger on the 225 mongoose heads for my upcoming 427, but if your looking to use these new cathedral port heads on your big stroker it makes me wonder if i should bother waiting
