Piston Ring Gap

Are stock piston rings from GM pre-gapped. If not, what are the gaps supposed to be? Also, how are the ring gaps aligned. For example. 180 degrees . Or does it even matter.

the SDPC catalog has two types (i) file fit, and (2) pre gapped...

...you should call them and ask, however...
