Need advise on matching heads with cam
Need advise on matching heads with cam Ok Ive got gmpp ls6 heads that have not been milled. What off the shelf cam would you pick or if you could get a custum grind what would you spec it out to be.
The car is a 99 T/A a4 with a 3200 stall, all bolt-ons, and 323 gears. Im looking for a stealth cam but it could have some chop to it. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

With the 3200 stall you've got some good options. There are a lot of great cams out there. Everyone has their own personal opinions on these things. Personally I went with a 226 patriot camshaft. Split duration pushed the power towards mroe midrange and the 112 lsa helped to keep all the low end I'd need, but I did this because I have a stock converter and gear. Now the car smokes the m/t's from a stop on the street and made 400rwhp through the auto. If I had a stall like yours I'd probably run a 228/232 cam on a 112, I've seen excellent results with that size cam over and over. Very street friendly size.
Do as much research as you can as there is a ton of great information here and you don't want to regret your cam choice. And also from what I've noticed most people that were down to a couple different cams in their head and picked the smaller one were upset they didn't go a little further. So I'd reccomend going a step above whatever cam you thought you wanted.
