Regular to Synthetic Oil

Regular to Synthetic Oil The owner before me used Valvoline 5w-30 oil and I am switching to Mobil 1 synthetic. Can I just switch like that or do I need some special switch over oil?

Re: Regular to Synthetic Oil LOL...no you can just switch it on your next oil change...and some people say that you can't go back in forth...but at my parts store we actually have a flyer that states some myths about oil..so to fully answer your question you are good to go!!!!

Re: Regular to Synthetic Oil u got it...there are a lot of myths out there about oil...I don't have the website on me right now...but there's an oil guide out there somewhere..written up by a guy that did some oil tests...and he was trying to clear up some of the "myths".....
