I can usually reuse mine 4-5 times without problems. Sometimes they magically seem to swell up a bit and don't want to fit back into the groove in the valvecover, so I just install a new one.

when they get oil on them, they swell up and make it hard to put them back in the grove (have to work them in a little bit at a time). Even new ones are hard to install thought (they are made a little over size).

Re: Are LS1 Valve Cover gaskets reuseable? OK thanks, guys. Sounds like it may be a good idea to keep the oil off from them until they are ready to put back in so the don't puff up. I suppose this property is makes them seal well.
