Default Break-in with Quick Seal powder?

Anybody use Quick Seal powder for break-in? I'm getting ready to break in my engine and am wondering if I should use this on the rings. I had a very knowledgable guy say it's just baking soda, and that it's an old school trick. Anybody disagree?

Here's what Total Seal says about it, but I'd like some actual experience.

Man, I don't know? Are you using some bad *** steel rings for mega boost or spray? If they're just moly rings I think the old fashion way works. Just start it up & run it.

I would call the ring manufacturer and ask their recommendations. They would know their product the best. It seems to me that some people don't know when to join in a thread and when to remain quiet. This leaves you having to sort out the good advice from members with experience from completely incorrect advice from members who just want to have an opinion stated whether it is correct or not.
