Spring swap knicked a valve

Spring swap knicked a valve When I started swapping my springs for my cam swap I knicked a valve while compressing the spring. I was using Tim's tool and I think I compressed the spring just a little to far which allowed the top retainer to get close enough to the valve to put a knick in it. I deburred the knick and got it to barely catch on my finger nail. I have not tried to check if the valve bent but I was planing to make sure it just slid up an down alright and then I can be assured it is alright. I was tightening the nut with a gear drive wrench and I was not really able to put that much force on it. I know it started to get tough so that is why I stopped. Do you think it is pretty easy to bend a valve higher up half way betweern the seal and the groove the keeper stays in? I know putting the knick in it could make the seal have issues with keeping oil out but if that is all I have to worry about then I will feel a little better untill I can get back at it on Thursday.

I will get some pics on thursday when I can work on it again. The knick is basically halfway between the groove the keeper stays in and the top of the guide seal with the valve all the way closed. Thanks for the advice.
