Default mechanical lifter vs hyd lifters...

so ive ben wondering if theres any big difference between the two and whatwould be the pro's and con's of switching to mechanical lifters?

If you don't mind the extra work, SR is worth it. If its a street car, you have to be sure to get lifters that have oiling for the rollers or else you run the risk of destroying the lifters. Theres a lot of info out there but its in random threads. Also be prepared for an adjustable valvetrain, 3/8in pushrods, and a hell of a time looking for the right springs to fit your heads. Its a lot easier with aftermarket heads.

i have crane dual springs, i will be upgrading to crane rockers also , and im either goin to go with morel mechanical lifters with the link bar or crane's with the link bar

If you talking about the Cranes that fit on the stock spring seats, then those do not have enough spring pressure. Depending on what kind of lobes your running on the cam you want around a minimum 175 on the seat and 450+ open. First you have to know what cam you want, and what kind of RPM you plan to turn. Along with what kind of valves you plan on running. Once thats figured out then we can talk springs.
