Hey guys I could really use some of you knowledge and wisdom here. Not sure if this was the best place to post this so move it if need be. I found a really nice 99 trans am for sale but I want to know how to tell if the parts this guy says he has are really on the car. I can already see from the pics that it doesn't have a fast intake. Looks like it may have a different throttle body. Even if it's bone stock it's worth $3,200 so I'm a little weary of it. If I go look at it and he has a title in his name I'll be taking her home. I'm not sure if you meant to type $3,200.00 That seems awfully low.. I would be weary, but I would also want to buy it, if it has all those mods and he's only asking 3200. Doesn't look like a FAST intake from the pic... Either way, if it runs good, get it! Cheap. But 9 times out of 10, you get what you pay for... so... good luck.

The wheels and tires are worth more then $3200...Scam.

 

i would not show up with cash, unless you enjoy being jacked. a 427 would sell for $3200 easily on its own, put that into a 99 ta and believe its only going for $3200. you need to be careful here and bring friends with.

 

I'd be very careful. That seems like a big dollar car for almost no money. I picked my '00 Z with a stock motor for a whole-lot more then that. Be careful, meet in public, and bring some very large friends. If that car turns out to be legit for that price, buy it. If you don't, PM me with the guys phone number.

Thanks for finding that car on the mti website. I looked there once but I looked under customer cars not cars for sale. Good eye on seeing it as a painted fast intake. Too bad it wasn't the price I found it for

 

I think the listing on Cars.com is a scam.

I think someone listed it as there own and are trying to scam someone.
