Traction control switch
I have a 2002 Z28 and I can't figure out if I have TCS or not. I have a female plug thats not connected to anything in the stereo compartment. Can anybody help me find out if my year car has the TCS option and if so, where cn I find the TCS switch. Thanks for all your time and your help.

When I first bought my first ta back in 2000, I was asking the same question you are. Even though there is a female plug back there, your car may not be equipped with it. I went out and bought the switch at a GM dealer, and I installed it. It hooked up fine and even the TCS (in your case ASR) lights turned on however the light indicating it was functional didnt. So, I found out that I didnt have it. Hopefully someone knows the code on the door for the traction control option. Good luck!!!

You'll have a motor that the throttle cable hooks to under the hood if you have traction control. If the cable just runs straight from the firewall to the throttle body = no traction control. Hope this helps.
