Default Pinging question

What causes it? Could a cam being advanced too much cause it? My motor makes more power pinging and the a/f ratio is perfect. I actually have to have it kinda detuned just a little (not as much timing) to run on the street.

No, it was doing it really bad at WOT and noticeable at part throttle before the dyno tune.
