Default PTV with custom grind Comp Cam?

I bought a cam from a member on board and was wondering if my PTV clearance will be fine. Its a 235/240 .646"/.609" on 112 lsa. Will I be ok, or should I still try to measure it? I was thinking of just doing the clay method if I do.

Also was wondering about lifters. Will the stockers be fine(125k)? Or should I get new ones, and which would be the best?

Thanks for any help,

Jakson

Stock heads, stock gaskets, SHOULD be OK, but it is a good idea to measure. Do you know how much advance it has ground in?

Not sure on the advance. I will look when the cam arrives, or give comp a call and see what they say. I will be using Patriot stage 2 67cc heads, and stock gaskets. Which lifters would be the best, Ive read some stuff about the GM "Caddy" lifters, would they be good?

If you have aftermarket heads they most likely have bigger valves or/and milled so PTV will be an issue.
Bottom line you HAVE to measure.

with those heads your going to have to fly cut your pistons for that cam. about the only head you could probaly use is a set of 243 ported and polished
with stock size valves even with that you will br close on the ptv clearance

The valves on the heads are only 2.02 and 1.57, and they are unmilled. Either way, I suppose I should check it. Would the clay method work fine?

67cc unmilled are either perimeter LS1 heads or center bolt LS1 heads, nevertheless with those valves you will HAVE to measure for that cam. No one here can give a 100% answer.

Alright, will do. They are perimeter bolt heads. Will LS7 lifters work good for my setup?
