Default cam advise

Hey I'm wanting to do a cam only, Its not an everyday driver, or all out racer, only runs 1/8 mile tracks, 02ss, m6, 410 gears, longtubes, true duals. Any suggestions and which cam I should run and any other parts I need for the swap?? car has 60k miles Thanks!!

MS3/Trex cam for some top end...maybe a smaller 232 ish cam for a lil milder setup. Obviously valvesprings etc.

New Clutch and New rear end...(would recommend 12 bolt before clutch and cam though)

Thanks, I've heard alot about the t rex cam, I don't really know alot about stuff like this, wanting to though!! I plan on a rearend swap and beefing up my m6, love jamming gears!! Car went 7.80 with only a 1.80 60ft. everyone was pretty impressed!! track was cold, but I still don't know xactally what all to get with the cam, would the cam package thunder racing has be everything I need?

Yes. you will also need to budget for a tune. If you are going to go ahead and get the cam and are on a stock clutch budget a new clutch as well. Stock one won't hold up.

Man, the Trex is a huge cam! It almosts pushes the line between street andtrack in my opinion. I would say try and stay around 230ish duration range and you should be happy!

With a good proper tune, it's not much worse if any than a 228-234 cam. It's all in the hands of a tuner. And if you have a 2nd car and this is just a toy to drive a few days a week, i'd be all bout it bout it.

don't go so big, stay in the low/mid 230's.
228-232int. & 232-236exh. .585-.600lift on 112+a few.
