Default What heads/cam package for 408?

I plan to just keep bolt ons for now until I get the 408 shortblock installed. I was wondering what heads and cam packaged from TSP I should go with? Precision Race only, since I have a budget to work with.

Here are some choices:

stage 1.0 heads LS6
stage 1.5 heads 5.3L
stage 2.5 heads 5.3L

And Which cam for the selected heads?

248/254, .611"/.613"
or
233/239 595"/.603"
or
Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609
Other?

Keep in mind...what heads and cam combo would you select from above with the usage of a 408 shortblock?

Thanks so much for your suggestions.

Im no expert but i am planning to get a new 408 from tsp around the first of the year. TSP told me that the 5.3 2.5s would work but you would be holding the 408 back form its true potential. If i was you, id go with the PRC stage 3s or the Ls6 stage 3s. And a bigger cam..

Of what you posted I would go with the bigger cam and save the couple more dollars for some better ls6's or after market heads.

Dont forget the l92 cnc ported heads also! they move 350cfm & cost about what all the other options cost! We've done the stage 2.5 ls6 heads on 408s to past the 500rwhp mark!

+1 for L92 heads with a budget in mind. 5.3L heads would seem to be a restriction, even in ported form.
