Piston Wrist pin removal

Is there any certain way to remove & install the wrist pins for an LS1 engine. Do you use heat to remove them or just press them out/in.

should press in/out. i had my local machine shop do this.

Do the pins require a special tool to remove or just some type of press with enough force to remove the pins?
