Default Swapping ls6 into 98z??

This is my first ls swap of any sorts and i'm wondering if an ls6 wiring harness is the same as an ls1. I just dont know if there's anything different or not.

I didn't get any sensors or wiring with mine, but on my 99 everything swapped right over. I only used the shortblock though.

Thanks....that helps a lot right there. Was you pretty happy with the swap?

I'm building a turbo setup also, don't have it running yet. Just need a fuel pump, some gauges, and a whole lot of relocating/deleting stuff.

I swapped an LS6 longblock into my '01 when I hydrolocked the LS1. Everything is a direct swap. The only difference is going to be the coolant crossover tubes under the manifold, the PCV system and the LS6 intake and exhaust manifolds do not have EGR. My car is an '01, so I already had the LS6manifold and no EGR in the exhaust manifolds. If you've got a complete engine with the intake and exhaust manifolds, it's a direct swap. Otherwise you'll have to make the changes listed above.

As far as how happy I am with it. I really can't complain, just take a look at the numbers in my sig. One thing I can say is, you'll need a tune. Especially with a '98 PCM. First time out with my car after the swap and a mailorder tune I went 12.55 @ 112 on the factory Goodyear Eagle RSA's. Good luck with the swap!
