Default Carnage pics from my LS1.

This was pulled from inside of the intake manifold today. As far as I can tell, a few valvesprings broke, I have only pulled the TB and valvecovers though. Shortly after this happened, comp recalled a few batches of their 918 beehive springs, the same springs I was running. This happened after 3000 miles of use.

If you used a 4.8 crank (3.27 stroke) you'd have to have a 4.5588 bore. You're also going to get busted for non sponsor contact link / soliciting.

I dont believe he is talking about making a 427 out of a 427 block and a 4.8 crank...he's talking about making a 350 from a 4.125 bore and the 3.27 crank. Both the person who started this topic and myself know ShwankeEngines personally....he's always getting into trouble one way or another...lol....

Thanks for the clear up Mike. I should have put the 350 CI, but I figured you'd be able to figure it out. I was just saying this since you like to put it on the limiter.

We are now a sponsor, just not sure why it isn't showing up in our title yet. Guess I will have to give them a call. Thanks for being alert though guys.

Why do people still run these horrible springs? They break they will ruin a motor when they do. Probably not a good idea to run them if you are running them take them out or suffer the consequences. There are other good springs out there at an affordable price to risk it.

I run 918s in my SC LS1 for several years and haven't had any problems.

I feel your pain, better go ahead and buy some new valves.

This is a Patriot Gold after 10k miles with a MS4.

I have the totally revised 918s in my motor. I have less than 2000 on the motor so far since the swap. I'll be sure to post if I have any trouble.

I think the new valves will be in the new heads which will be on the new shortblock.
