RPM Shift Point Question
RPM Shift Point Question I have a ‘97 C5 A4 corvette with LS6 intake, Kooks 1-3/4” long tube headers, x-pipe & Borla straight pipe exhaust. Stock shift point is 57-5800 rpms. I’m looking to add a 125 shot of NO2 this spring. A buddy and I are going in on buying some HP Tuner software so we can tune our cars ourselves. My question, is there any benefit in increasing my shift points above what they are set at stock with the set up I have right now? Are stock springs good enough to handle higher rpms? With the stock cam would this even help anyway or does the power drop off by 5800 rpm?
I was curious of the same thing. So the stock cam in no way benefits for any increased rpm?
Ya dont spray through the shifts if you have a panzy transmission. 4l80e all day long through the shifts.
