Low oil light question

I just picked up a 98 Formula and I have an issue with the low oil light

When you turn the key to on without starting the car and the SES lights flash on and off sometimes the low oil light stays on once the car is started

I checked the oil level and its fine

Other times it shuts off before the car is started and stays off

So far it hasnt come on when the car is running just dosent go out when the car is started.........

Oil pressure is fine

I am thinking maybe the sensor is on its way out

Anyone else have any ideas?
