Default hows this custom grind look?

i was talkin to some people last night...and someone suggested this to me...its supposedly his personal spec and he said its a very very good cam all around...
*************************************************
heres the specs..
It's just a 226/224 114LSA groud straight up (114ICL).
.585/.568 lift with 1.7's
275/277 @.006
147/142 @.200 lift
It has -3 degrees of overlap at .050 for smogability.

The powerband will be long & flat with peaks ~5000rpm for TQ & ~6600rpm for HP.
Valvetrain for this cam should be Comp 918 springs, titanium retainers, & the springs should be shimmed to 1.750 install height.
Best mods to go with this cam is an LS6 intake, lid, & off-road exhaust.
It'll make significantly more power then the TR 224/224 114LSA cam....& have better idle/low-speed maners.

It's ment for N/A & N2O shots up to 150.

Hmm, well, expect a high RPM revving cam with a 114 LSA and 114 ICL. I have a somewhat similar cam except mine is 112 LSA and 110 ICL and my peak HP is around 6200 RPM. My low end torque is exceptional and very flat from 2500 RPM - 5500 RPM.

My torque peak is at 4900 RPM, so 5000 RPM sounds about right for that cam.

Personally, I like overkill when it comes to springs, so I would go with the REV 1116 springs or Comp 987s with that lift. Thats too close to the 918s upper limit in my opinion.

I also disagree that this cam will make "significantly" more power than the TR224. My guess would be only 5 RWHP more. Otherwise, it sounds like it would meet your requirements.

I doubt it will have better idle and low-speed maners with more intake duration than a TR224. My TR224 114 has the same low-speed manters as the stock cam did.

I agree with Constrictor.

Might be worth 3-4 rwp over a TR224
