If a dyno tune is included with the install for that price, you got a pretty good deal! My install and tune should run around $1,100. however they are also installing a pulley and the dyno tune will be free in the future if I make changes to my setup.

I did my own install and worked out some pretty good purchases. Cam, Springs, LS2 chain, pusrods and all gaskets $800.00 & Dyno tune $400.00 = $1200.00 If you are looking for a cheap price you will probly get what you pay for. After I did mine $500.00 for labor would be cheap.

Man you guys got some deals, i looked it some around here and came up with this

-Parts roughly1,000 ( cam package, ls2 chain, oil pump, pulley)
- Labor 1,000-1,200
- Tune 500
So damn expensive just for a cam swap might be something id have to pass on

700 is a tad high.

You need to come down to Atlanta. Lots of good shops here. Vengeance (12000 sqft facility, all tuning software & dyno on site), myself, etc...

Damian is doing my build, and I gotta say I checked other shops, both prices and attitude couldnt compare to what Josh (AKA Damain) has done for me. I am about to walk away with what started as a cam and intake swap, but has evolved to almost an entire build including suspension and T56 rebuild, and cant believe that I can still sit down. Some qoutes I had gotten before for just cam and intakes or T56 rebuilds were unbelievable to what I have paid to Damain. I also have never has personal attention from any other shop like Josh provides. He answers every question, and belive me, he will tell you I bug the Sh*t out of him with them, he snaps off pics every stage of the build to walk me through it. In My Opinion, there is no contest. In the Greater ATL area, I wouldnt recommend anyone more than Damian to do any LSX work.

Hell I know guys that do these installs out of their home garage. As long as your paying cash up front - $200 install labor + $350 for tune. Granted these prices are no where near what shops are charging but remember shops have OVERHEAD= building/property expense, tools, employees, taxes, ect. to pay so $80/hr for a tech. to do install labor on your ride is actually reasonable. I say get someone who knows what their doing, pay them some side money, provide food/beer, and make a weekend of the ordeal. You'll learn alot...especially why you shouldn't spend $700 in labor for a simple cam install...

I was told around $1,800 to $1,900 if I brought the car at a shop around here. Thats was everything out the door. But I've already paid 1/2 of their regular tuning price.
