New to Cam Only , need help...

New to Cam Only , need help... Ok, TR224/224 .561/.561 @114lsa, installed last week, by me and friends. Issues:
Cold starts, yeah it wants to surge/hunt/buck and stall
Warm/Hot starts normally catches the idle, idles @ 650-700
In gear it tends to do the surge a few times then settles in the idle at 650-700, takes a little more warming up though.
I notice in Park the timing is around 14*, but in gear the timing at idle is around 20*--might it help to raise timing in Park/neutral? Drill the TB Blade? Raise the idle?
Cam feels strong, after several heat cycles and a few hundred miles that is. I pulled on my friend who always easily walked away from me before but it seemed like there should have been more, maybe its the 12.5:1afr (and righer as the rpms go up huh???). True test results will be posted Sat. morning.

Re: New to Cam Only , need help... i'd just start simple and try raising the idle. Mine wouldnt idle for squat at stock idle! I have mine at 950 just cause for some reason my stall gave me a funky idle before the cam(smaller converter). Most have theirs at 850-900. Its not a big difference in sound either from 800 to 950 though
more than likely you will have to drill the TB a few sizes up also
My base spark in park was 18stock, but now I have mine at 22. You could also try turn the TB set screw a turn(cause you can always turn that back to stock)
just try a few things before drilling the TB, but also the car may never be perfect idling again. Mine surges on a warm start about 1 outta 10startups.

Re: New to Cam Only , need help... Thanks. Heard the idle raise, I like the 650-700 but if thats what she wants thats what Poppi will give her! Am trign to get the predator tuner to raise timing in Park, no word back yet.
