I believe that the coolant lines are different. That's why you have to modify the LS6 intake when installing onto an LS1.

The coolant lines under the intake are different.

They're different but so similar that you can use either on either setup. To use the LS1 lines on the 5.3L it will require an ever so slight bend to that line. It's nothing major and it wouldn't crimp it or anything. This is due to a VERY slight different in that area on the head. Nothing serious, run whichever you want. We keep the LS6 pipes/plugs in stock if you want them!

They are different. If you are asking because you are doing a swap to a ls6 you can get the ls6 coolant lines and rear block offs for around $10 shipped on ebay.

The way I look at it the more of those avatar's running around, the better.

Using the LS1 lines on a 5.3 was mentioned up above. So there is a little bit of modifying involve in this? Reason I'm asking is I gave my LS1 intake and coolant lines to my brother for a future mild 5.3 build, the more info we know now the better.
