3x cam on stock heads
3x cam on stock heads can you run the 3x cam with stock ls1 heads and valves without fly cutting? i called cartek and he said i should be ok, but i wanted to see if anybody had done a ptv check on it.

I just finished installing a G5X3 114 LSA in my 2001 ZO6. The heads are ported LPE LS6 with 2.02/1.57 valves, milled to 61cc, using .052 MLS gaskets. The intake PTV is .056 and the exhaust PTV is .112. A 112 LSA would reduce the PTV. With an unmilled head with stock size valves you should be OK.

Like said above, you should be fine with stock gaskets/valves. 112 LSA here and no PTV problems. I would at very least turn the motor over by hand after installing the cam to check though. 
i may be off base here but I think the OP is talking about Carteks 3x cam and you guys are talking about the G5x3, maybe their similar cams i dunno, just thought i'd post though
I also went 10.9x's cam only @127
