Default Overheating problem!!! Please Help!!!

I had a 2001 Trans AM ws6 A4
Mods: 212/218 cam, heads(a bit ported), slp maf, slp cold air intake, lt headers
Dyno results: 350rwhp 406rwtq
When we install this engine, apparently the Coolant Temperature Sensor Connector didnt hold fine, and the day we took the car out for first time, I really was courious because in the first 5 min or less the Temp in the gauge didnt move, and i knew something wasnt functioning correct. I kept the car running for about 5 min in total, when i felt like if the engine was shaking when i accelerate. At that point i stoped that car and check, and notice that Coolant TEmperature Sensor Connector was loose. I connected but may fault was not to check the Temp gauge at that moment. The engine didnt smoke at all but i was curious if the engine was damage. Because the last thing i wante to do is take that engine out again. AFTER THAT I HAVEN HAVE ANY OVERHEATING PROBLEM AT ALL, AND WHEN I GO WOT, ALL FUNCTION FINE AND THE CAR DOEST HAVE ANY FAULT AT ALL. But since i modified the engine i really didnt know if a am loosing some HP because of some damage to the engine. I HAVE TRY TO TAKE CYLINDER COMPRESSION, BUT IT IS ALMOST IMPOSIBLE BECUASE THE ENGINE IS HALF BELOW THE DASH.
I will apreciate your help.
