I am getting ready to install a TR224. The local shops told me to use the stock timing chain or a new stock one.
I would like a good single chain. Which should I get(JWIS,Single Rollmaster,) and where can I get it. It has 20,000 miles and the oil pump was replaced about 9000 miles ago.

I am going to go the other way... JWIS. When I talked to Thunder they told me this is the chain that they use so I went with it
Although I think that the Rollermaster is cheaper.

Actually, Rollmaster does not make chain. If you purchase a Rollmaster timing set (single or double), you will get the timing gears made by Romac/Rollmaster, and the chain made by Iwis Ketten
I went w/ the JWIS from Katech to replace my 70K mile stocker. I didn't feel like messing w/ the whole Double roller swap out (and feel that it is overkill IMO).
BTW...isn't the rollmaster chain made by JWIS?

Although I think that the Rollermaster is cheaper. For proof, check out a closeup of my Rollmaster Double Roller chain I got from SDPC.

looking at the picture you can see the treads from the cam bolts. is this the way it's supposed to be? I put my cam and rollmaster together and they have the same gap behind the gear and the face of the cam. I would have thought you would want the face of the cam to be all the way into the back of the cam gear
