Just wanted to say...
I am new to Ls1's and i just finished my first cam/springs/ASP pulley install.
I had two lifters that wouldn't stay up so i had to get some pen magnets...weird..
But the point of this post is after fighting with the crank type spring compressor for about an hour trying to get one of the easiest springs off... i called thunder racing, talked to Paul and Jason...and at 4pm Tues., Paul sent off the MORE performance valvespring tool... i got it by 9am this morning and i must say, this tool is the shiznit!
To anyone getting ready to do springs, suck it up and spend the $130 and get this tool. You will be SO glad you did.
I was able to do each side in approx 35mins... what took the longest was getting the compressor hose screwed into each plug hole.
Started the car.. seems to run fine... getting ready to go check everything again and then off for a test drive.
So anyway, thanks again Paul and Jason at TR!
