installing MS3, ported heads do i need 1.8 rockers or will my stock 1.7 work? 01SS, with 39k miles...

I would at least stick with the stock 1.7 ratio. Most LSx cam grinders do not recomend rocker arm ratios above stock for anything but mild cams in the lower 220s. It shortens valve spring life significantly.
