Default Leak down test question

Hi,
Instead of turning the crank for each cylinder to make sure the valve is closed, is it easier to just remove the valve covers and loosen up rockers?
That way, it much easier to remove all the plugs as well.
I got a C5 and I don't think I got enough space to turn the crank ... I think
Thanks!

I think with the right set up with a braker bar with an extension should work might have to remove a cupple things in the way like your air box.

I have removed valve covers and bump engine over to get my cylinders as close TDC as possible. I do not like to loosen my valve train when doing leak down test as it could possible be the cause of compression lost.
