Default quick questions on replacing valvesprings

if i get a new set of valvesprings..be it comp 918s, patriot springs or whatever...can i just replace the spring or are retainers, locks, and all the other stuff required? thanks

If you had asked only on the 918's then it would be one answer. But the Patriots will require seals/seats/retainers/locks, all of which come with the kit. All must be changed. Guess there is no quick answer, it depends on what you plan to install.

Id replace everything. It is not hard to do seats, seals and retainers. Its only another 10 seconds per spring.
