Overheat help Im stumped

I had an overheating problem one time on mine, sounded like the fans were running but......one of the fans nut had fallen off so I only had one fan running. I got underneath the car and spun both fans one of them fell off inside the cage attached to the radiator. Its worth a shot to check it since its easy.
