Default Oil pump o rings?

I took apart my engine, and Im ordering all my seals, but I noticed there was a o-ring on the oil pickup..

But there want a gasket where the pump met the block.. Is this suppose to be like this?

yea. just the o ring. when u put it back togeather be sure that it goes in right bc if it gets pinched or torn it will cause low oil pressure

Nope, no gasket or oring on the actual block.

And make sure you center the pump with feeler gauges as you are bolting it down. Otherwise you will get glitter in your oil. Because the pump will be grinding the **** out of itself. Trust me I know. doh!

Make sure you use a new o-ring and start the oil pump bolts but don't tighten them until the pickup tube is tight or you will likely damage the o-ring.

Ditto on this. Nothing between pump and block, but do NOT screw up the o-ring deal. You will be very sorry. Use a new one, for sure, and place it on the pickup tube, lubed very well with oil. Then carefully slide it in and thread the bolt all the way in by hand. If you get this wrong, the pump might suck air in with the oil, causing the lifter in cylinder 7 to not pump up all the way. This will cause moderate to severe ticking.

Speaking from experience.... you cannot reuse the o-ring
