Engine missing when you mat it....then cleans up...WTF???

Engine missing when you mat it....then cleans up...WTF??? My car sat for a couple weeks, and when I took it for a ride it started acting weird. If you mat it in 1st, it will go like hell, but you can hear it kind of miss a little and see some small black puffs of smoke. After hammering on it, it will clean up for a while. Then it does it again....WTF???
Car was scanned with EFI LIve and the fuel trims were perfect. This is the same tune it has had for a year and it never did this before.
I would have to think it is either fuel or spark related, not tune related.
What do you guys think it could be? I am going to change the plugs, wires and fuel filter tonight.

Re: Engine missing when you mat it....then cleans up...WTF??? Man I dont know, it should help changing the plugs and everything-I would do that and see what happens-but it sounds like fuel or spark related so the new plugs should help out.Well goodluck let me know how it turns out for you.
