Eagle Crank?
Eagle Crank? I just built a 383 with a 4" Eagle crank and I have a problem with my clutch install. After the flywheel is on, the crank sticks out too far and wont let the clutch sit flat against the flywheel. Yes I have the clutch on the right way too. What to do?
Definatly. That would be a problem with how it was manufactured, Plus i dont think you would want to void your warrantee and kill any chance of being able to get an exchange from them if you cut that part of it off. Just my .02
Double check with a stock crank to see how much longer than stock it is. If it is indeed loo long, you probably won't hurt anything by grinding it.
If I had bought it new I would send it back, but if I were in your shoes with the engine already built I'd just mask off the area around it to contain the grinding dust, and machine it down a little.
