Default Installing rings today, quick question. Extra rings?

I have file to fit Mahle rings and have some extra rings... There is a packet with a 1,2,3 on the front. Each pocket has 8 rings that are obvious where they go. 1 is the top ring, 2 the middle and 3 is the 3 part main ring. Only issue is that there was an additional seperate bag that has 8 rings that are thinner than ring 1 and 2. The bag is labled " SAP#09298345 LS1 powerpack 160 x 3.898"-3.908" Dimpled spacer rails x 8" What are these rings for? The Mahle instructions consist of no helpful info.....

These are oil ring spacers or supports for pistons where the pin protrudes into the oil ring. These spacers go on the bottom of the oil ring groove with the other three parts of the oil ring on top.
