Forged short blocks are cheap and a nice foundation for your future upgrades. I would at least take a look at those options. I'd hate to do all the h/c work only to have bottom failures shortly thereafter. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

High Miler' +1 for what noah89 said. It IS a risk, however; It all depends on what kind of life your car has had. People underestimate how i important oil changes are...anyway its been proven that our cars (well the aluminum thing between the mounts) haha will easily do 200K+ its all how you maintain them! Good luck with whatever path you take! 
I didmy MS4 and prc heads at 130k and spu it to 7k for about 3 months and spun a rod bearing. so it all depends on what cam it is. a block with that many miles on it is not going to like a high winding cam. it just wont last long like that...trust me.
