Default What cam should I use?

I have a 2002 Camaro SS M6. I have a SLP MAF, BBK TB, MAC long tube headers, y pipe with hi flow cats, loud mouth cat back, and using stock heads. I just bought a cam that i can get custom grinded and i need to know what will be good for an everyday driver, and yes i will get ls1 edit when it is installed. I was hoping I could get over 400 to the wheels. And i will be using a 125 dry shot. Someone help me out.
Thanks.

1st, Mac's r mid length, not long tube, but anyway... 400rwhp will be difficult with stock heads, unless u include the 125 shot... 375 will be more realistic... what cam u u get will depend on whether u want the car to idle like stock, be a little rough, or be real choppy...
on the smoother side u have the LS6 cam (204/218-.551/.547-117.5)... then u have the comp 212/218-.558/.563-115
a little rougher u have the comp 218/224-.527/.535-114...
then u have the thunder racing 224/227-.563/.569-114 cam on the big end... somewhere in there u also have the HotCam, 218/227-.525/.525-112, which comes as a kit, is inexpensive, but more on the choppy side...

well I wouldnt pull some specs out of the air, I like the 224 grinds, that should be a big enough cam to get you to 400 rwhp. you want more, I have had really good success with a TR230/224 cam.

I did 380rwhp on stock heads without a pulley, ported TB, or cutout and my around town manners weren't effected. There are some damn good cams out there for daily drivers, don't be afraid of them.

As jaberwaki stated the C2 is a killer cam.

Took me to 10.6's and is a VERY streetable cam.

Good luck.
