Default Another cam question

Im planning on getting a cam for my 2001 Z28 A4, i will be running stock heads and long tubes, this cam will need to pass california smog tests and i dont want to have to get it tuned right away any ideas? o and i dont want to have to run a stall thanks.

Long tubes are illegal in Cali and you do need to tune any significant cam right away. Do it right, save your pennies and wait. Otherwise your enthusiasm might cost you a motor.

In any case this is what I would suggest

220/226 .581/.581 115+3 LSA (XE-R Comp Cam lobes custom grind)

i know long tubes are illegal but i plan on running cats and i know it will still be technically illegal because of moving the cats im only concerned about the sniffer, and would i be ok with a good mail order tune?

or would i be better off to get either the cam or the longtubes and then get hptuners?
