Question Best heads for the $$$ for a N/A + Nitrous setup

looking for a set of good heads but not as good as the ET, Trick Flow, AFR, etc. those are out of my price range.

what have you guys ran and liked?

what kinda results did you see?

would it be worth just not doing heads and just waiting until i can get the great quality heads?

I would imagine ported PRC 5.3 heads would be the best for your money if you're sure that you're staying N/A. You get the extra compression.

Only reason I didn't get the 5.3's is because I wanted to have the option to go boosted later without having to buy another set of heads.

Try the Dart heads. They work good out of the box and have a thick deck so they can be milled for more cr.

I had my stock heads worked over by an excellent porter. For what I paid it is hard to beat.

I was wanting a similar set-up. Plenty or torque & power N/A & also nitrous friendly. I ended up goin with a set of stock 5.3 heads. Then had Bo White port/polish & mill them .018" to bring the comphression up a little. I'm sitting close to 11.0:1 N/A & the car has very nice power right now. And once I hit it with juice, it should respond well. Nitrous loves comphression, so the 5.3's are my top choice.

My vote is for ported LS2/LS6 heads. These heads depending on the porter can be done from mild to wild. If not going to an aftermarket casting this is the way to go IMO.
