Stock PushRods with High Lift Cams
Stock PushRods with High Lift Cams How many of you guys are running stock pr's? Anyone see a performance increase going to hardend pushrods? The only benefit I can see is that stiffer push rods will deflect less than stockers, giving you more lift.
Im using stock pushrods with .578" lift cam and 918's. I like the fact that if something goes wrong the pushrods are more likely to bend than the valves.

Re: Stock PushRods with High Lift Cams i know some guys that run them, one says he runs them b/c they are easier to replace than a lifter and he would rather replace the pushrod. I decided to order chromoly push rods for my setup.

Re: Stock PushRods with High Lift Cams Using pushrods as a "fuse" isn't always the best way to go. If you get a set of good springs, a set of hardened pushrods and a quality timing set, bending valves and screwing up the valvetrain becomes very hard to do. Less slop with a good set of components will keep the valvetrain in check and you'll be able to enjoy piece of mind in the meantime. Just my thought.
