Question LS3 heads on an LS6?

Just wondering if it would be possible to run LS3 heads on an otherwise stock LS6? I think the bores are bigger on the LS3 and not sure if it would create problems? Just looking at the specs on the LS3 heads vs LS6, the chamber size, ports, and valves are bigger. It seems as if the intake ports have changed from cathedral to L92 style so probably would have to go with LSX intake as well. Just thought it would be a nice alternative to the stock LS6 heads.

The LS3 and L92's are the same head.

No - the LS3/L92 heads need a minimum of a 4.00" bore. The LS6/LS1 bore is too small for these heads to work. Valves would hit the cylinder walls. Sorry!!!!

BAD200TA is right you can go the other way (LS6 on LS2/3) but not bigger bore heads on small bore motor.
