Best block's for sleeving?

I've been looking for a stock LS1 aluminum block to have re-sleeved so I can build an all bore engine. What year models are good and which are bad? It will be NA with some 11* RHS heads, solid roller, and around 14:1 compression.

For the price you are going to pay to have a block re sleeved you might as well get an ls2.ls3 or ls7 :)

A sleeved block is not the same as a LS2/3/7. It has different strengths and weaknesses. Certainly it is not a way to save money.

This thread should be of interest.

When sleeving, they don't like to use the ls6 block because the "windows" give up strength. Not sure about the early blocks 97-98. I would just try to get a 99+ LS1 block and you should be fine.
