I know the PCM will not because the two engines have different reluctor wheels on the crank. I'm not sure about the harness bacause I thought the LS2 had an electronic T/B.

You could use an LS1 style reluctor and throw a cable TB on it, afaik. If you buy an LS2 based motor from various sponsors you can specify which wheel they put on.

You will need cam sensor and knock sensor harness extensions to run an LS2 off an LS1 harness. Most sponsers have them.

There is a sticky about swapping LS2.

an 05 gto has an ls2 w a 24 time reluctor, while an 06 has a 54 time and the tb doesn't matter but the knock sensor are outside on the side of the block, and the cam pick up is on the cam sprocket/front cover, thats about all other then the cid.

so yes with the proper reluctor wheel the stock harnness and ecm will work with minor modification (wire rerouting and extention) SDPC offers an ls1 to ls2 convertion kit look into that
