Default Found a LS1

I am posting this for a friend, he found a 2002 LS1 engine online. It came out a 2002 SS. It has almost 10,000 miles on it, it comes complete with T-56, wiring, computer and all accessories. It is on sale for $2,500.00. Not sure what happen to the car. I have seen some LS1's on e-bay for above 4 G's, so do you guy's think this is a good buy.
Please let me know
TIA,
Warren

Yeh, if the engine is in good condition it is a steal.

Unfortunately, you can;t determine the condition without doing a few tests, namely a compression test of each bore...

My LS1/A4 combo cost 5G's. It is a salvage yard motor w/32k on it, and came with all accessories & PCM.
There were some issues with it, but I was happy with the deal.
If yours is in good shape, and the mileage is REALLY 10k, it looks like you've got yourself a good deal!

That's a great price for that setup.
