Weird Tick
Weird Tick My friend has a 98 Ls1 that has a weird tick, it comes and goes, it dosent matter if its hot or cold
Most of the time when you start the car it is not there and then it starts ticking loudly , seems to come from the drivers side, we are unable to pinpoint it with a stethoscope but it seems to be around the valve cover/intake area..... it dosent get any louder with rpms but will stay ticking until the car is shut off
The weird part is when its ticking if you shut the car off and then instantly restart it stops and is quiet again for awhile
Any ideas??
I would think if it was some sort of mechanical failure it would tick all the time
