Hello guys, me and my buddy just finished doing my H/C install. And everything seems to be good, we cranked the motor by hand with all the rockers on and no coil packs and it turned with no problem. so we go ahead and start the car and it fired right up and started to idle at about 900rpm with about 60+psi on oil pressure. So this is the issue, when the car is in idle its at about 750rpm thy re is like this little cricket sound coming from somewhere in the exhaust.. not the motor but as soon as i go over 1k rpm it stops.. you guys think its just a exhaust leak?

Anyways the car sounds amazing, and seems to be every strong. I have yet to get on it, i drove it about 30 miles home without a problem.

This was my buddy's 2nd install and my first H/C install and it was hmmmmmm pretty hardcore... lol

sound nice man. congrats on your first h/c install. glad everything went ok. not too sure what to make of the cricket sound your hearing.

 

i have close to the same setup..minus heads/cam, can't wait to hear a sound clip with the duals so that i know what mine will sound like when i finally do it.
