Default Is it ok to swap valves from one head to another?

I've got a LS6 in my 2001 Z-28 with about 75,000 miles on the engine. I'm going to be installing a STS in the next few months and bought a set of 317's off a member here to lower the compression a bit. After going back and forth with some of you on here I decided to keep the LS6 cam. My question is, can I swap the valves out of the 243's on the car now into the 317's and just lap them in? The swap is for 2 reasons. First, the LS6 cam has a .050" smaller base circle and the valves in the head are longer to compensate instead of using a different pushrod length. I already have special length pushrods that came with my Crane Golds. Second, the valves in the LS6 are hollow/sodium filled for reduced mass and better cooling. Any suggestions or comments?

Since you are using a STS, it would be wiser to use high temp valves at least on exhaust. So no, I would no recommend to swap the lightweight valves in.

If you want your engine to look like this sure.

Can't find the head pic's of where the valve snapped off. Don't use used valves. If you are going to change them get new ones.

That makes sense Predator-Z, thanks!
Ouch! That sucks davered00ss! I guess I'll be leaving everything alone then. Do you think the .050" difference in cam base circle will make that much difference? I've heard of people using the LS6 cam without changing pushrods. Again, I have aftermarket pushrods that came with my Crane Gold kit. I think they're 7.250".

Crane are adjustables so you can make up the slack (increase preload)
